idk if this could be it, but my simkids always got transparent hair when I had them walk to school.. i had to delete them from the household & they respawned normally when i loaded the lot

yeeee i read somewhere (maty possibly?) it was a portal issue re: kids and school and using the batbox/fix invisible sims also does the trick!
